So, if you haven’t already seen my previous blog where I talked about going viral on Instagram and TikTok – I’m talking 2.1 million views on each platform! — go check it out.
Anyway… I’m sure by now you’ve heard (or seen) the trend using the Jet2 “Nothing beats a Jet2 holiday” audio. If you live in the UK, you’ve probably heard it a million times on their TV adverts. But it’s also been making the rounds on social media, where people pair it with a fail or embarrassing travel clip in a tongue-in-cheek way.
I decided to repurpose my viral video from September 2024 with that audio – because, why not?
Yes, I used the exact same clip as my first viral video.
And guess what? It went viral again. Same reaction – people thinking it was poop! 😂 (Poop cruise, anyone?)
But this time, it did even crazier numbers: 6.5 million views on TikTok and over 1,000 new followers in under 24 hours.
Now, while this might not be amazing long-term (since those new followers didn’t come for my usual cruise content), it still helps expose my account to a wider audience — and maybe even some future loyal followers.
How Did It Perform on Other Platforms
- Instagram – 24,000 views, 7 new followers
- Youtube – 32,000 views, 2 new subscribers
- Facebook – 32 views (yes, really)
Isn’t that absolutely wild? Previously, the video did 2 million on Instagram/Facebook and this time it was crickets.
What Did I Learn?
- If there’s a trending audio or hook — jump on it.
- Don’t be afraid to reuse your content.
- Have fun with what you post — be spontaneous.
- There’s no formula for going viral — sometimes it’s the most random clips that blow up.
