If you love cruising, travel documentaries, or just a bit of armchair escapism on a rainy evening, this one’s worth keeping on your radar. Princess Cruises is returning to TV screens with a brand new series called Cruising to the Ends of the Earth… and it sounds really good!
Cruising to the Ends of the Earth is an eight-part series commissioned by Channel 4, created by UK production company Crackit TV.
The show follows real Princess Cruises voyages across some of the world’s most dramatic destinations, giving viewers a behind-the-scenes look at life onboard and ashore.
The series will feature three very different cruise regions:
- Alaska
- Japan & South Korea
- The Mediterranean
Alaska is doing the heavy visual lifting. Glaciers, wildlife, that slightly surreal scale you only really get there.
Japan and South Korea feels like the more interesting inclusion. It’s not a region that gets much airtime in cruise shows, despite how popular it’s becoming.
And then the Med is there as the familiar anchor. Easier to recognise, but still broad enough to keep things moving.
What kind of show is it?
From everything that’s been shared so far, it’s less “ship tour” and more fly-on-the-wall.
Filming follows both passengers and crew, with a mix of onboard life and what happens ashore. So expect a bit of everything. Shore days, sea days, behind-the-scenes bits you don’t usually see, and the odd bit of chaos that comes with moving that many people around the world.
It’s being made by Crackit TV, who tend to lean into character-driven storytelling rather than polished travel adverts, which should help.
When it’s out
It’s due to air on Channel 4 in 2026, with streaming on their platform as well.
