Imagine the feeling of stepping off a private jet and onto a yacht that feels like a floating Aman resort. That’s the idea behind Aman at Sea. It’s the ocean-going extension of Aman’s much-loved hotels and resorts, created for people who want the privacy and peace of Aman sanctuaries, but out on the water.

And let me tell you… It’s luxury. Like, beyond luxury.

For years, Aman has set the bar in luxury travel with quiet, minimalist design and service that feels intuitive rather than showy. With Aman at Sea, that philosophy finally meets the world’s great coastlines.

Aman at Sea – Amangati

The very first vessel in the Aman at Sea fleet is called Amangati, which means “peaceful motion” in Sanskrit. It’s a thoughtful name for a ship that’s meant to feel calm and expansive, even as it travels through some of the most iconic waters on the planet.

Amangati is still under construction, but reservations for its inaugural Mediterranean season in spring 2027 are now open.

What Makes Amangati Special

There’s a lot to geek out about if you love design, serenity and small-ship luxury.

Suites That Feel Like Private Retreats

There are just 47 suites on board, hosting around 94 guests at full capacity. Each suite is spacious and elegant, with full-height windows and a private terrace to make the most of those sea views. Imagine waking up to the Mediterranean sun cresting over the horizon from your own balcony.

Dining for the Curious Palate

Food is a big part of the experience. There are four distinct dining venues on board, from Aman’s signature Japanese restaurant to Mediterranean all-day options and a refined grill. In-suite dining is also available.

Wellness at Sea

Wellbeing is woven into the journey. The Aman Spa is a highlight, with ocean-facing treatment rooms, Japanese garden spaces, meditation and yoga areas and even outdoor whirlpool baths. There’s a pool deck with panoramic views and plenty of places to lounge quietly between ports.

Social Evenings and Chill Moments

For evenings, there’s a Jazz Club and relaxed lounges that invite you to unwind with a live set or a cocktail under the stars.

Where are Aman at Sea Sailing?

Initial voyages will explore the Mediterranean, including classic spots like the French Riviera, Greek Isles and Italian coastline. What’s cool about a smaller yacht like this is its ability to visit smaller harbours that traditional cruise ships just can’t reach. That opens up more intimate experiences on shore and unique anchorages at sea.

Amangati is also available for private charters. That means if you want the whole yacht to yourself for a special event or celebration, Aman can help craft the itinerary and experience around you.

How People Are Reacting

Travel communities have been buzzing since bookings opened. Some people are calling the launch a game-changer in the ultra-luxury sailing world. Others are curious to see how it compares to offerings from brands like Ritz-Carlton and Four Seasons. The general vibe online is one of cautious excitement — people love the design, exclusivity and potential for unique itineraries, but luxury launches like this always attract a bit of speculation.

Early Indicative Pricing

Travel industry sources that look at sample sailings and booking availability suggest the pricing is positioned at the very top end of luxury cruising. One report estimates:

  • 5-night voyages might start around $38,500 per suite
  • 7-night voyages could be around $54,600 per suite
  • That works out to roughly $7,000–$8,000 per suite per night for an entry-level cabin.

Prices like this reflect a suite-based model similar to ultra-luxury hotel rooms, not per person like many traditional cruise lines.

What is Aman at Sea?

Aman at Sea is the luxury yacht division of Aman, the high-end hospitality brand best known for its minimalist resorts and ultra-personal service. It brings the Aman experience onto the ocean with small, private yachts rather than traditional cruise ships.

When will Aman at Sea launch?

How is Aman at Sea different from luxury cruise lines?

Unlike traditional luxury cruises, Aman at Sea focuses on very small guest numbers, understated design and highly personalised service. It’s closer to a private yacht or boutique hotel experience than a conventional cruise.
