The Rainbow Cruise Vs The Atlantis Cruise
Atlantis Cruises are often talked about as being very much centred around gay men, with a strong focus on late nights, high energy parties, and a reputation for pushing boundaries. Public nudity, overtly sexual spaces, and a very adult atmosphere are all part of that image, whether that’s a draw or a turn off for you.
The Mein Schiff Rainbow Cruise is different.
This sailing is designed to be openly queer, expressive, and celebratory, but it’s not built around sexualised public spaces. The focus is on performances, music, drag, talks, podcasts, and shared experiences rather than explicit behaviour.
That also means the crowd tends to be more mixed. You’ll find gay men, lesbians, bi and pan travellers, trans and non binary guests, queer couples, allies, and people who are simply there to celebrate diversity in a safe, welcoming environment.
There will absolutely be parties, bold outfits, and plenty of self expression, but it’s all within the framework of a mainstream cruise line. If you’re looking for a cruise that feels proud, colourful, and inclusive without leaning heavily into nudity or public sexual behaviour, this one is much more likely to be your speed.
