Regent Seven Seas Cruises has announced that the Seven Seas Navigator, a cornerstone of its fleet since 1999, will depart in late 2026. This marks the end of an era for the luxury cruise line, known for its ultimate all-inclusive voyages and intimate, all-suite ships. RSSC Navigator has been a favourite among travellers seeking elegant design, personalised service, and immersive itineraries.

Seven Seas Navigator’s Final Voyage Details

RSSC Navigator will embark on its farewell cruise on October 2, 2026, sailing from Istanbul, Turkey, to Alexandria, Egypt. This special voyage will celebrate the ship’s legacy with exclusive onboard events and programs, allowing guests to reminisce and bid adieu to a beloved vessel.

A New Life as a Floating Residence

After its final cruise under Regent’s flag, the Navigator will be transferred to Crescent Seas, a new venture focused on luxury residential cruising. The ship is set to undergo a $70 million renovation to transform it into a floating community offering 210 private residences, with prices ranging from $750,000 to $8 million. Amenities will include butler service, gourmet dining, housekeeping, and high-speed Starlink internet. Annual maintenance fees are expected to start at $210,000. The relaunch is scheduled for December 31, 2026.

Crescent Seas is part of GFO Investments, led by Russell Galbut – former chairman of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings (NCLH) and founding partner of Crescent Heights, the Miami-based real estate powerhouse. Galbut’s expertise in both luxury real estate and the cruise industry uniquely positions Crescent Seas to pioneer this innovative residential cruising concept.

Navigator will continue operating under an agreement with NCLH’s Regent Seven Seas Cruises until its transition. Its maiden voyage as a luxury floating residence is set for December 2026, marking a new era in upscale living at sea.

‘After spending so much time on the seas, we noticed that travellers yearned for more. People on the ships kept telling us they wanted to live this luxurious lifestyle. So, we decided to select ships with the right configurations to convert to the most magnificent cruising yachts,’ Galbut said.

A Glimpse into the Future of Luxury Living at Sea

Crescent Seas plans to expand its fleet, with negotiations underway to acquire additional ships and even commission a new vessel. This initiative reflects a growing trend in the cruise industry toward long-term, luxury living at sea, catering to affluent individuals seeking a nomadic lifestyle without sacrificing comfort or service.

The departure of the Seven Seas Navigator signifies more than just the end of a cruise itinerary; it represents a shift in how luxury travel is perceived and experienced. As Regent Seven Seas Cruises continues to innovate and evolve, the legacy of the Navigator will undoubtedly influence future endeavours in the realm of upscale cruising and residential voyages.
